Summit – William Kubik, 91, found eternal peace on Monday, February 24, 2020 in the warmth of his home.
He was born on March 19, 1928 in Islip, NY to Emil and Mary (Bele) Kubik and he proudly served in the United States Army from 1954-1955. Bill worked for 35 years as a therapy aide at Central Islip Psychiatric Hospital before retiring in 1983. He also owned Dawn Landscaping and was a backyard mechanic and quintessential “Jack of all Trades" Adorned with his passions for reading and antique cars, Bill’s home was a display for shelf upon shelf of books and rows of scale model cars and trucks of every vintage, including the prized Jim Beam decanters. Bill also treasured time, laughs and memories with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, children: Theresa Reidy, Victoria Lynn Reidy and 10 siblings.
Bill’s love and memory will be cherished forever by his beautiful wife, Elsa “Judy” (Sinnott) Kubik, whom he married on July 18, 1959 and celebrated 60 years with and his children: William Kubik, II and Rose Roth, both of Patchogue, NY, James (Kathy) Kubik of Lexington Park, MD, Robert (Janet) Kubik of Gilroy, CA, Mark (Caroline) Kubik of Elizabeth, CO, Debra (Anthony) Pisano of E. Northport, NY; 21 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister: Theresa Scott of Cocoa, FL; many nieces and nephews.
While a celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date, at the family’s convenience, they thank you for remembering Bill and them at this time.
