Sarah Hillyer Strong

Sarah Hillyer Strong, 33, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2022 at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida losing her short-term battle with Melanoma. Sarah was born April 6,1989 in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.

Sarah is survived by her parents Stephen and Melissa Strong from Gulf Stream, Florida and her brother Scott Strong (Amanda) and 2 nieces (Sadie and Abby) from Westminster, Massachusetts. Sarah also is survived by her Grandmother Ruth Strong, Aunt Cynthia Strong, Uncles Brook West, Curtis Salisbury (Wendy), Craig Salisbury (Lynn) and cousins Morgan West, Kevin West and Samantha Salisbury.

Sarah grew up in Naperville, IL where she attended Naperville North High School. Sarah graduated from Purdue University in 2011 with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management.

After graduating from Purdue University, Sarah worked for General Mills and The Four Seasons Hotel Group. When COVID started Sarah came to Delray Beach, Florida and ultimately became the manager of a fabulous ladies’ boutique clothing store named Periwinkle.

Sarah truly had a passion for living life at its fullest. She was always ready to help and think about others first. She loved traveling and saw a lot of the world. Sarah loved skiing and was an avid tennis player. Sarah had a smile that could light up a room. She was a genuine person who always knew and did what was right.

There will be a celebration of Sarah’s life with family and friends on Saturday April 15, 2023 in Gulf Stream.
