Middleburgh- Roger Farrell, 77, of Blueberry Hill Road, found eternal peace Monday, September 23, 2019 at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.
Roger was born on October 5, 1941 to Mary M. (Kelly) Farrell and Patrick J. Farrell in Brooklyn, NY
Roger worked as an auto body repairman and was very talented artistically. He loved creating works of art and sculptures out of the leftover bondo, which brought many smiles to everyone around him.
He loved the beach and the ocean and his passion for them lead him to certify as a scuba diver and explore the deep blue. When not beneath the waves or at the beach, he could be found working around his home and helping friends. His huge heart was always willing to lend a helping hand when anyone was in need and his ingenuity was especially handy when a solution was needed. He was always willing to try new things and push the envelope while thinking outside of the box. His happiest moments were spent around his mountain top home on Blueberry Hill and savoring a fresh slice of blueberry pie.
Roger was predeceased by his wife: Jeanne M. Farrell and his brother: Jack Farrell
Roger will be lovingly remembered by his companion of 18 years: Kathleen Monaco and his extremely intelligent and beautiful yellow lab: Rock-Z; his sons: Roger Farrell, Philippe (Sylvia) Farrell, and Patrick Farrell; his daughter: Alice Farrell; grandchildren: Ariel, Lydia, Candreia, Roger; his great-grandchildren: Acona, Jacklynn, Brooke, Kieran; his sister Marian Noone; several nieces and nephews and many beloved extended family members and friends including Rose and John Yung.
All are invited to a memorial service at 12:00PM on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC, 134 River Street, Middleburgh. A period of visitation will be from 11:00AM-12:00PM, prior to the service.
