Richard "Rick" Campbell Obituary


Middleburgh – Richard “Rick” Campbell, 53 of Main Street, found eternal peace on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany.
 
Rick was born in Cobleskill on January 26, 1967 to Naomi “Leigh” (Belden) and Clifford Campbell of Middleburgh.  Rick graduated from Middleburgh Central School and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in chemistry and worked as a chemist at DSM in Schenectady.
 
He loved being with his kids, was active with the Middleburgh Little League and volunteered as a coach for many years.  Rick was also a member of the Middleburgh Rod & Gun Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors.
His spirit was also lifted rocking to the tunes of Ozzy and Black Sabbath and he equally loved hearing the music of Neil Diamond.

Rick was predeceased by his parents and by his brother, Gary. 
 
His loving family includes his wife, Valeria (Chichester), whom he married on June 1, 1991 and his children: Tyler Campbell (Jenna Brown), Keith Campbell and Kelsey Campbell, all of Middleburgh; his beloved grand-puppies: Alaska and Jax; his sister and brother-in-law: Cathy and Kim Karsch; nieces and nephews: Emily Karsch, Ryan Karsch and Jared (Janice) Karsch, Mary Chichester, Nickolas Chichester; sisters and brother-in-law: Victoria Chichester, Samantha Warner, Vaughn (Lydia) Chichester;  aunts: Gloria (“Butch”) LaGrange and Audrey (Bill) Stumpf and many cousins and friends.
 
Per Rick’s request, a celebration of his life for family and friends will be held at a later time.
 
Memorial contributions in Rick’s memory are asked to be sent to the Middleburgh Little League, PO Box 723 Middleburgh, NY 12122 or to the Middleburgh Rod & Gun Club, PO Box 24, Middleburgh, NY 12122
