Michael J. Preston

Fultonham- Michael J. Preston, 57, of State Route 30, was welcomed to Heaven by the angels on Monday, September 10, 2018.

Michael was born on September 29, 1960 in Norwich to Eleanor R. (Bullock) and the late James M. Preston.

He earned his GED and proudly served in the United States Army for a short time, before his medical and honorable discharge.

Quiet by nature, Michael enjoyed the comfort of his home, the company and love of his family, hiking Vroman’s Nose and yearly family picnics. His devotion and care for his mom was proudly unmatched as was his passion for the Beatles, 1950’s and 1960’s music and classic movies.

Michael’s loving family includes his mother: Mrs. Eleanor R. Preston of Fultonham; sisters: Rose Preston of Potsdam, Patricia (Bill) Snow of Hannacroix, Mary (Tony) VanGlad of Stamford, Lori Preston of Latham; brothers: Paul (Brenda) Preston of Canton, Robert Preston of Latham, Thomas Preston (Cindy Areford) of Richmondville, Timothy (Kelly) Preston of Middleburgh, David (Kelly) Preston of Rotterdam, Daniel (Christine) Preston of Middleburgh; nieces and nephews: Michael, Erica, Christopher, Mark, Adam, Bryan, Brandon, Danielle, Jessica, Emma, Sophie and his great-niece: Natalie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 AM on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Middleburgh Methodist Church, Main Street, Middleburgh with Fr. James Davis as celebrant.  Interment will follow at Middleburgh Cemetery.  All are invited to visit with Michael’s family on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 6-8PM at Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC, 134 River Street, Middleburgh.
