Lorraine B. Robinson, of Route 990V, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born 82 years ago on December 5, 1940 in Prattsville to Evelyn G. (Nickerson) and Harold C. Brainard. Lorraine worked at Audio Sears in Stamford and was a supervisor there, before retiring and going back part-time. She loved dancing and was a former member of the Schoharie Valley Cloggers, active with the Conesville Mountaintop Seniors and a member of the popular Gathering Place, 50 Plus Community Center in Cobleskill attending their activities and enjoying new friendships.
She loved life, whether it was baking some delectable treat, spending as many moments with her children and grandchildren as she could, feeling the wind in her hair on Sunday drives in the convertible, Lorraine knew how to enjoy every moment. And boy could she celebrate, rarely missing the chance to enjoy a Sea breeze or a Jell-O shot! She also celebrated the beauty in nature and loved her cardinals and hummingbirds and the rustic beauty of old barns.
Loving her forever are her daughters: Susan (Steve) Weigl of Elizabethtown, KY and Diane (Alfred) Ewington of Gilboa; her sons; Mark Robinson of Gilboa and Wayne (Angel) Robinson of Cooperstown; grandchildren: Jennifer, Jessica, Jessi, Waylon, Jacob, Glenn, Kyle, Nathan and great-grandchildren: Loghan, Chloe, Reilly, Cannon, Mason, Kinsley, Karter and Emily; many nieces, nephews. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, husband: Philip Robinson; daughter-in-law: Tammy Robinson and her brother: Edwin Brainard.
A gathering and celebration of her life will be held for family and friends at a later date to be announced.
Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC of Middleburgh is honored to be caring for Lorraine and her family.
