Middleburgh- June Lang, 78, died at home on Friday, February 11, 2022 in the care of her loving family and Helios Care.
June was born in Nyack, NY on January 17, 1944. She graduated from Nyack High School in 1961 and from Englewood School of Nursing in 1964. She was the class president and graduated as a Registered Nurse.
On January 4, 1964, June married her High School sweetheart, Robert Lang and the family moved to Middleburgh in 1973. June was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic church for over 48 years, she was a member and past-president of the Century Club, served as a dispatcher for MEVAC and was a Cub Scout Den mother. June also substituted as a school nurse and volunteered for several school functions when her children were in school.
Her greatest love was being a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid reader and cooking was one of her favorite hobbies. She also had an artistic flair and loved decorating her home.
Loving her forever are her husband: Robert J. Lang of Middleburgh; children: Michael (Roseanne) Lang of Middleburgh, Marianne (Stephen) Zamjohn of Forsyth, GA., Kathleen (Norman) Gallman of New Bern, NC, Margaret (Justin) Prassel of Middleburgh, William (Laura) Lang of Lexington Park, MD; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; her siblings: Barbara Hartmann of Richmond, VA, Elizabeth Haller of Alexandria, VA, Irene Hartmann from Tompkins Cove, NY, George Hartmann of Manchaca, TX.
June was predeceased by her parents: June (Daube) and George Hartmann; her one-day old daughter: Mary (1968); her sister: Ruthanne Wagener.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Main Street, Middleburgh. Spring interment will be in Middleburgh Cemetery.
All are invited to visit with June’s family from 6:00PM-8:00PM on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC, 134 River Street, Middleburgh.
