Julie A. Beretz

Middleburgh – Julie A. Beretz, of Clauverwie, found eternal peace on Monday, March 16, 2020 in the warmth of her home.

Born in Cobleskill on September 1, 1959, Julie graduated from Middleburgh Central School and mastered the job of being a stay-at-home mom to her family.  She also enjoyed manicuring lawns recently, under her own employ.

Julie’s home was filled with delicious aromas of her cooking and surrounded by beautiful flowers in her gardens.  She lived for warm weather, soaking up the sunshine and relaxing at Sacandaga lake with her family and friends.  No day was complete either, without a few or more pages turned in one of her favorite books.  Julie’s life was completed by her beautiful grandchildren and every chance she got to be with them.

She was predeceased by her daughter: Kyla Schmidt and her father: John “Jack” Westerman.

Her family includes: James Beretz of Middleburgh; her children: Renee Schmidt (Stephen Kowalski) of Middleburgh, Jamie (Ashley) Dimick of Carlisle, John (Jess) Beretz, Jr., James (Shelby) Beretz, Jr., Jade (DJ) Roe and Jenna Beretz, all of Middleburgh; her grandchildren: Stephen, Lyla, Avrie, Carson, Johnny, Shyanne, Jimmy, Kyle, Emily, Oliver, Gretchen and Finnley; her mother: Cynthia “Skeetz” (Joe) Polak of Middleburgh and many other family members and friends.

While a celebration of Julie’s life will be held at a date and time to be announced, her family appreciates your remembering her and them through this time.
