Schoharie – Joan Mongelluzzo, of Pasonage Pines and formerly of West Middleburgh, found eternal peace on Monday, January 18, 2021 from declining health.
Joan was born 87 years ago on July 12, 1933 in Manhattan to Josephine (Willeburger) and Paul Mundhenk.
Joan loved her home in West Middleburgh, nestled in the little valley, surrounded by nature. Watching all of the birds come to her feeders was one of her favorite pastimes, especially the Hummingbirds. She loved knitting everything from socks to scarves, hats, gloves and blankets for loved ones, friends and as special gifts and also loved listening to her windchimes in the tree outside her window.
Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her husband: Anthony Mongelluzzo and her son: Paul Mongelluzzo.
Loving her forever are her daughters: Tammy (Todd) Lucas of Howes Cave and Wendy (Kevin) Frees of Leland, NC; granddaughters: Heather Frees of Ft. Worth, TX and Tammy Mongelluzzo of Flushing, NY; daughter-in-law: Sun Mongelluzzo of Flushing, NY; brother: Lawrence Mundhenk of Hillsdale, NJ; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Private services will be held at the family’s convenience and interment will take place in Breakabeen Cemetery. Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC, of Middleburgh is honored to be caring for Joan and her family.
