Obituary
Eugene P. Lynch passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
Eugene was born 94 years ago on February 18, 1929 in New York City, to Theresa (McNulty) and James Lynch
He served in the United States Navy from 1946-1948 and then worked for many years with the NYC Sanitation Dept. and also managed a meat processing firm before retiring. The family’s weekend home on Ecker Hollow Road became a full-time residence when they moved in 1989 to the beauty of the country. Eugene enjoyed woodworking and completely remodeled the home. He also loved traveling on vacations, visiting Europe, Africa and twice to Spain. His kindness and generosity will long be remembered by his family and friends.
Eugene is survived by his sister-in-law: Dorothea “Tippy” Vaeth; his daughter-in-law: Eleanor Lynch; many other family members and dear friends: Corrine and David Barrett and Deanna and Jeff Urrey. He was predeceased by his wife: Ann Lynch; his son and daughter-in-law: Thomas and Miriam Lynch; and his son: Brian Lynch
Per Eugene's request, cremation will be handled privately and here will be no formal services.
