Eileen J. Eak

Eileen J. Eak, of Clauverwie, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta.  She had been returning from a vacation trip to Corning, NY that brought back beautiful childhood memories along with making new ones with her beloved husband Jim. 

Eileen was born 74 years ago in Huntington, NY to Eileen (Stafford) and Elliott Rogers.  Eileen was a stay-at-home mom to her children and also babysat for others through the years.  She lived in Milford, PA for 20 years, before moving to Middleburgh 6 years ago.  Happiest around her family, Eileen was beside her husband through his landscaping and firewood businesses.  Eileen would roll the wood up to be split as well as help load the truck for deliveries.  She was an avid gardener and loved crocheting, watching the birds, celebrating Christmas with her family and vacationing to Wildwood, NJ.  Above all else, she was one of the world’s best grandmas. 

Loving her forever are her husband: James Eak, whom she married on August 27, 1996 and her children: Stan (Kristen) Young, Jenn Smith and Becky (Leila Crockett) Young; grandchildren: Ashley, Aiyana, Colby, Corey, Crown, Trevor, Maeve; brothers: Elliott (Tina) Rogers and Pat (Mary) Rogers; many nieces and nephews.

All are invited to visit with Eileen's family from 11AM to 1PM on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC, 134 River Street, Middleburgh. A closing prayer will follow the visitation for her family, there will be no formal funeral service.
