Doyle Diamond Obituary

Doyle C. Diamond, of Mill Valley Road died peacefully on Sunday, December 19, 2021 in his home.

Doyle was born 80 years ago on April 10, 1941 in Middleburgh to Dorothy (Lawyer) and Henry Diamond. Like a good drink, Doyle aged well over time, yet toughened like leather from life’s experiences. He was a welder for many years at General Electric in Schenectady, before retiring. There’s an empty stool at Kelley’s Bar this Christmas, but he leaves warm hearts and lasting memories.  Doyle was an avid NASCAR fan and drove his NASCAR Edition Monte Carlo proudly for many years.  He also enjoyed bird watching, archery, hunting, fishing and was a member of Middleburgh Rod & Gun Club.

He loved his family and family gatherings, especially Christmas celebrations where he could always be counted on to be the life of the party.

Doyle will be loved forever by his daughter: Brenda (Harry, Jr.) Kenney of Middleburgh; grandchildren: Angela (Jeremy) Roe of Middleburgh, Harry Kenney, III of Middleburgh, Samantha Kenney of Oregon; great-grandchildren: Dylan Bevins, Chloe German, Cameron Kenney, Maggie Kenney, Harry Kenney, IV., Doyle Kenney, Jeremy Roe, Jr., Leila Davidson, Enzlee Kenney; his freaking best friend: Donald “Durf” Durfee of Middleburgh and his favorite bartender: Jessica Wylie, who took his badgering and gave it right back with the same heart-felt sarcasm. He was predeceased by his wife: Delores Diamond; great-granddaughter: Marlee German and his siblings.

A celebration of his life will be held on his birthday, April 10, 2022 at Kelley’s Bar on Main Street, Middleburgh at a time to be announced.  Spring interment will be in Middleburgh Cemetery.
