It’s never easy when a loved one comes to the end of their life, but when 91 years of life have been filled with love, laughter, memories and sharing, it is reason to smile and give thanks to God for the gift of sharing their life.
Delores M. Calderone found peace on Monday, February 1, 2021 and will join all of her loved ones who have gone to Heaven before her, including her parents: Mary (Mechalski) and Joseph Rusin; her first husband: Frank Ingenito and her second husband: Frank Calderone and her siblings: Helen, Frances, Florence, Felix, Edward, Stanley and Steve.
Delores was born on June 4, 1929 in Angola, NY and grew up, like so many others of her generation, in a time when life seemed much simpler and happier. Delores made her own happiness though, whether raising her family, getting lost amidst the pages of her favorite books and becoming part of the stories themselves, crocheting gifts and giving anything and everything she could to help others in need. In later years, Delores loved taking rides through the beautiful countryside and stopping along the way to dine.
Her devotion and love for her family was unending and will be held forever in the hearts of her daughter: Mary (Robert) Meier of Middleburgh; her son: Frank (AnnMarie) Ingenito of Merrick; her grandchildren: Keith (Andrea) Meier, Dennis (Theresa) Ingenito, Frank (Nicole) Ingenito and Lisa (“JP”) Ferrari; her great-grandchildren: Ella, Chase and Violet Ferrari, Mia Ingenito, Lucia and Frank Ingenito; and her special friend and aide: Stephanie Chamberlain, who’s love and care allowed Delores to remain at home as long as she could.
A graveside memorial will be held at the convenience of the family in Middleburgh Cemetery and they thank you for remembering her and them through this time.
Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC of Middleburgh is honored to be caring for Delores and her family.
