Obituary
Dawn M. Schanz, of Katie Lane, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Van Rensselaer Manor in Troy.
Dawn was born on August 2, 1961 in Troy to Joan (Archambeault) and Leonard Pappas. She worked for many years at Mountain View Manor in Middleburgh, Guilderland Center Nursing Home and most recently at the Cobleskill Diner.
Dawn loved classic Country music and enjoyed shooting darts in younger years with the league.
She was predeceased by her parents and her son: Randall Schanz.
Dawn in survived by her devoted husband, Alfred Schanz of Middleburgh, whom she married on January 30, 1982 and proudly celebrated their 40th Anniversary this year; her daughters: Erica Schanz of Troy, Lisa Schanz of Troy; daughter-in-law: Amber Schanz of North Carolina; grandchildren: Gavin, Chase and Courtney; sister: Joan (Carmen) Ciccarelli of Troy; brothers: Leonard Pappas and William (Jeanine) Pappas, all of Watervliet; several nieces and nephews.
No formal services are being held for Dawn at this time. Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC of Middleburgh is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
