Colleen Aleta (Kennison) Scoville found the peace and love of Heaven on Friday, July 23, 2021 from the love and warmth of her home, in the dedicated care of her family.
Colleen was born 63 years ago on October 9, 1957 in Tupper Lake to Helen (LaBarge) and Garnard Kennison.
She earned her Associate degree in nursing from Maria College and went on to work as a Registered Nurse in many capacities, until finding her true passion at Capital District Psychiatric Center.
Colleen loved traveling, especially to Disney World. She loved her dogs, being in nature and enjoyed the beauty of lighthouses, but nothing brought her greater love and happiness than being with her children and her family.
Loving her forever are her children: Megan (Jarred) Westman of Willoughby, OH, Daniel Scoville of Delanson and Leslie Scoville of Delanson; grandchildren: Ella and Chloe Westman of Willoughby, OH; her siblings: Kathleen (Amy Lennon) Dougherty of South Daytona, FL, Monroe (Peggy) Kennison of Middleburgh, Diane (Thomas) Paulter of Amesbury, MA and Irene Francione of Canandaigua; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic church with Fr. Thomas Zelker as celebrant. A visitation with Colleen’s family will be held from 6-8:00PM on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC 134 River St. Middleburgh. Cremation will follow the Mass and inurnment will be private, at the convenience of the family.
