Carol A. Granbacka, of MT Path, found eternal rest on Monday, June 28, 2021 in the comfort of her home.
Carol was born 77 years ago in Livingstonville on February 22, 1944 to Henrietta (Hipfl) and Leland Lacy, Sr. After graduating from Middleburgh Central School she began working at Central National Bank in 1963 and for 35 years served many generations, greeting them with her signature smile, before retiring in 2008.
Carol loved Middleburgh and was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She also enjoyed traveling on vacations with her family to Myrtle Beach and especially to Hawaii and Alaska, the two places she dreamed of visiting. She was a proud mom and grandma, loving, encouraging and supportive, particularly of her granddaughter, through her continued studies to become a research chemist.
Carol loved her home, her family and nightly card games and Yahtzee with her sister Kathy.
Her life and love will be held forever by her daughter: Deborah (Robert) Rice of Wilton; granddaughter: Hailey Houde of Charlotte, NC; siblings: Martin (Bernice) Lacy of Jacksonville, FL, George (Sherry) Lacy of Delanson, Richard (Linda) Lacy of Venice, FL, Alice (George) Beam of Deer Lodge, MT, Leland (Terry) Lacy, Jr. of Middleburgh and Kathleen Diamond of Middleburgh; many nieces and nephews.
At Carol’s request, there will be no formal services but her family thanks you for remembering her and them through this time. Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC 134 River St. Middleburgh is honored to be caring for Carol and her family.
