Candace Timm Obituary

Oneonta – Candace L. Timm, 65, of County Highway 11, died Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

Candy was born on June 13, 1954 in Troy to Hilda (Brand) and Rudolph Timm.  She graduated from Gilboa-Conesville Central School and went on to attend the Ellis School of Nursing in Schenectady.  She was a Candy Striper at the former Stamford Hospital and upon completion of her studies worked there as a Registered Nurse before transferring to A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta for 27 years.  The last 10 years of her career have been as the school nurse at Stamford Central School, until retiring this past June.

Candy loved camping, making crafts and spending time with her family and friends, who affectionately called her “Sissy.”  Her greatest pastime though, was riding her motorcycles.  The thrill of the wind flowing around her and travelling with friends and fellow members of the Red Knights International Firefighter’s Motorcycle Club, Inc. brought her many happy trips and memories.

Candy will be held forever in the hearts of her sister: Holly (Paul) Tubiolo of Conesville and their children: Renee Tubiolo and Christopher Tubiolo; her brother: “Randy” (Helen) Timm of Conesville and their daughter and her family: Lindsay (Jason Merwin) Timm, Finnegan and Camden Merwin; her aunt: Alice Brand of Conesville; several cousins and her beloved Maltipoo: Cocoa.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC, 134 River Street, Middleburgh, with Pastor Dottie Morris officiating.  Burial will be in the Manorkill cemetery. All are invited to visit with Candy’s family from 2PM-4PM on Sunday, November 17, 2019, also at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are asked to be sent to the motorcycle club at: RKMC NY Chapter 44, 300 Perkins Rd. Richfield Springs, NY 13439 or to a local animal shelter of choice.
