Brian King Obituary

Brian J. King, of Lark Street, died peacefully at home on Monday, September 25, 2023.

He was born in Schenectady, 46 years ago on December 10, 1976 to Linda (Gifford) and Wayne D. King.  Brian graduated from Middleburgh Central School and Albany Vo-Tech.

He worked several places including Apollo Heating and Cooling as well as being a talented welder and contractor, helping install roofs and swimming pools.

Brian loved nothing more than being with his family and friends, listening to The Grateful Dead and casting his line into the water.  Lake Ontario and Hawk Lake in Canada were two of his favorite fishing destinations. He also enjoyed hunting when he could and being outdoors.

Brian’s surviving family include his mother: Linda (Brian Countryman) King; his son: Jason H. King; brother: Timothy (Lyssa Craig) King; grandmother: Helen Gifford; aunts: Ruth (William) Brown and Wanda King; several cousins; God father: Jerry Brown and many close friends, including: Bruce Martin, Alquon Barr and Nick Potter.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held from 4:00-8:00PM on Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Timothy Murphy Park pavilion in Middleburgh, adjacent to the water tower access road off Route 30.
