Middleburgh – Arthur G. Belden, Jr., 85, passed away in his sleep on Sunday, March 15, 2020 and Heaven gained a fighting Angel.
Arthur was born December 22, 1934 on Staten Island, to Arthur G. Belden Sr. and Catherine L. (Tobin) and proudly served in the United States Army from 1956 – 1962.
Arthur was married to Eileen (Searby) from 1965 -1978 and to Ella (Kiburz) from 1991-2015, who both predeceased him. He was also predeceased by his sisters: Naomi “Leigh” Campbell and Mary Porter.
He is survived by his children: Eileen Healy of Kentucky and Arthur G. (Michelle) Belden, III, of Arkansas; 2 step-children: Theodore (Tina) Kiburz and Mark (Jeri) Kiburz; 3 grandchildren: Mellisa Cowan of Kentucky, Erik Wilsey of Kentucky and Sarah Belden of Arkansas; his sister: Gloria (James “Butch”) LaGrange and several nieces and nephews.
Arthur ran a successful business installing carpet and linoleum for many years and also worked as a machinist at General Electric. He loved gardening and growing his vegetables and in his younger days, he was an accomplished camper and fisherman.
While no formal services are being held now, all are invited to join the family for a graveside service, with Military Honors, in the spring in Middleburgh Cemetery.
