Anna M. Wood

Anna M. Wood, of Middleburgh, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at her home, in the loving care of her family and Helios.

Anna was born 81 years ago on October 20, 1940 in New York, to Frances (Vogel) and Frank Willwerth.  Anna’s smile greeted patrons at Value Village Wine and Liquor in Middleburgh for over 20 years before she retired. 

She loved nothing more than being in her home in Middleburgh, keeping her home, watching the beautiful cardinals and seeing her beloved New York Yankees play.  Through the good and the bad, to say she was a #1 fan is an understatement.  Anna was even more devout in her faith and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley in Middleburgh. 

Anna will be loved forever by her grandson: Stuart Wood of Carlisle; her dear sister and brother-in-law: Theresa (Willwerth) and John Smith of Middleburgh and also several cousins. Anna was predeceased by her son: Steven Wood in 2021.

All are invited to a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Main Street, Middleburgh with Fr. Thomas Zelker as celebrant. Inurnment will follow in Middleburgh Cemetery, Cotton Hill Road, Middleburgh.  Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC of Middleburgh is honored to be caring for Anna and her family.
