Middleburgh – Ann C. Lynch passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2021 in the comfort of her home.
Ann was born 87 years ago on December 14, 1933 in Manhattan to Dorothy (Healy) and James Casey, who both predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her son: Bryan Lynch.
Ann worked for many years as a receptionist at Xavier High School in Manhattan before retiring. The family’s weekend home on Ecker Hollow Road became their full-time residence when they moved in 1989 to the beauty of the country. Ann loved traveling on vacations, visiting Europe, Africa and twice to Spain. Ann enjoyed eating at local restaurants and getting lost amidst the pages and characters in her beloved mystery novels.
She will be loved forever by her husband: Eugene Lynch, whom she married on July 3, 1951; her son: Thomas Lynch; her sister: Dorothea “Tippy” Vaeth; her daughter-in-law: Eleanor Lynch.
Per Ann’s request, cremation will be handled privately and here will be no formal services.
