Obituary

Timothy Jon Chamberlain, 68, of Summit, New York, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026, in Albany, New York.

Timmy was born on October 8, 1958, to Edward Chamberlain of Fort Myers, Florida, and Patricia B. Cascio of Amenia, New York. He was raised in Danville, Vermont, and Amenia, New York.

He graduated from Webutuck High School in 1978. Where he played basketball and they gave him the nickname Wolfman Chamberlain, and nicknames "Slick" and "Paco" later in years.

He is survived by his lifetime companion: Terri Hummel; his daughter: Stephanie Chamberlain (Jim Gavin) of Cobleskill, New York; his granddaughter: Hope Rachel Gavin; his brothers: Charles Chamberlain (Myrna) of Marlboro, New York, and Randy Chamberlain (Tina) of St. Johnsbury, Vermont; his sister: Susan Morford (Harold) of Amenia, New York; and his nieces: Megan Chamberlin (his Goddaughter), Mariah, Molly, and Shelby.

He was predeceased by his daughter: Rachel Hummel-Chamberlain; Terri's mother: Flora Hummel; and his stepfather: Lou Cascio.

He loved getting up early to work, whether on housework or his primary passion, masonry. A true jack-of-all-trades, his skills included building stone walls, landscaping, carpentry, and painting. He was a member of the local Carpentry Union in Albany and earned a welding certificate from SUNY Cobleskill. He worked for Tri-Wall in Wassaic.

He enjoyed snowmobiling, watching bull riding, wrestling, stock cars, monster trucks, basketball, football, soccer, and baseball, and the Olympics. He also loved attending live music events, blasting music in the car, and restoring hot rods.

He loved all animals and took in many over the years, including horses, chickens, birds, and several dogs and cats - "Trish, the Wood sisters (Hollywood, Molly-wood, and Dana-Wood), and Eugene 1 and 2."

He was an avid collector of Micheal Jordan memorabilia and baseball cards.

No matter the time or place, if someone needed help, he would drop everything to be there for a friend in need. Wherever he went, he brought a good time, living by the mindset that life is a party and life is good.

He loved his family dearly and with every phone call to his mother he would always end it with an "I Love You" and his greatest joy was being Hope's "Papa!"

A memorial was held by his family at the Blackbird Bistro in Wassaic, NY on October 25, 2026 where family and many friends attended for a celebration of his life and a tasty buffet was enjoyed by all! Words of remembrance, comfort, and prayer were offered by family friend, Reverend Zora Ficarra in honor of our beloved Timmy.
