Timmy R Schrom, of Middleburgh, checked out on December 13, 2023, peacefully with his family by his side at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

He was born 50 years ago on January 1,1973 in Cobleskill to Rachel (Watson) and Larry Schrom

Tim always enjoyed hunting and carp shoots with his dad in Messena each June and he enjoyed a good card game too. Tim enjoyed cooking his chicken BBQ, with a wafting smokey aroma that filled the valley, and share with his family and friends.  And he was always ready to do benefits, taking care of others. Even at the end, Tim's gift of his corneas will help others to see the beauty in this world.

Tim worked as an electrician before his illness took hold, but he never lost his unique outlook or humor. He spent many days and hours at dialysis and made friends with others there and often spoke of them as family. Even the staff shared fond memories with his family, how Tim brought light to a dark day.

Above all else, family came first and he loved his sister and his brothers and often talked about taking vacationing to see his brother in Florida. Tim was best at "come and get me" in the wee hours of the night, often rescuing his nieces and nephews.  And he was ecstatic to become a great-uncle and shared so much love with the next generation of his family.

Loving him forever are his sister: Barbara Bender of Middleburgh and his brothers: Bobby (Robert Begin) Schrom of Key West Florida and William Jankowski of Central Bridge; his niece and nephews: Karla (Justin) Jankowski of Middleburgh, Joshua (Stacey) Bender of Troy and Shane (Dannielle) Bender of Richmondville; his great-niece and nephews: Alexis LaBadia, Carter Foland, Willow Jankowski, Averie Bender, Oakley Bender.

All are invited to a visitation with Timmy's family from 5:00-7:00PM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC 134 River Street, Middleburgh.  A time for sharing, memories and celebrating Timmy's life will be held next year, on a date to be announced.
