Tammy Ellen Schuessler, 62 of Preston Hollow, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from natural causes.

Born in Catskill, on May 23, 1963, Tammy was the beloved daughter of Werner Schuessler, who predeceased her and Marieanne (Boehm) Schuessler. A bright and determined student, she earned her MBA from Simmons College in Boston, a milestone she was deeply proud of.

Tammy built a rich and varied career.  She began at Fidelity Investments in Boston before moving to Restaurant Associates in New York.  She later continued her professional journey in New York State government, where she brought her expertise, dedication and strong work ethic to public service.  She also embraced the opportunity to explore the world, taking time away from work to travel through Greece and Italy, experiences that inspired her curiosity and fueled her interest in photography.

A devoted lover of cats, Tammy cared deeply for animals and always offered them a gentle, compassionate heart.  She enjoyed reading, crocheting, creating handmade pieces that reflected her patience and creativity.  Her photography allowed her to capture the quiet beauty she found in everyday life.

Tammy is survived by her mother; her sister: Heidi Babcock; and her brothers: Christopher Schuessler and Peter Schuessler.  She will be remembered for her warm presence, her thoughtful nature and the love she shared with her family, friends and the pets she cherished.
