Ronald "Cha" Becker, 75, of Middleburgh, passed away on Tuesday, April 4th at Albany Medical Center. He was born in Schenectady, on May 15, 1947 to Lyman and Marion (Wright) Becker. He grew up in Middleburgh and attended Middleburgh Central School. He worked for New York State Department of Transportation as a welder before retiring.
Cha enjoyed fishing, hunting, a good NASCAR race, always rooting for Jeff Gordon until his retirement and was an avid arrowhead hunter, with an impressive collection of arrowheads found in the beautiful Schoharie Valley. Cha also enjoyed his time with the Round Table folks down at Mrs. K's Kitchen. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Sharon (Noxon) Becker, who was the love of his life; his daughter: Melissa (Joe) Yung of Middleburgh; granddaughter: Madison Yung, of Rochester, who was the apple of his eye; his brother: Lyman (Lanny) Becker of Cape Coral, FL; sister in- law: Vernice Becker of Middleburgh; brother in-law: Skip (Carol) Noxon of Schoharie; his "bonus" daughter and granddaughter: Rachael and Olivia Hamm of Middleburgh and several nieces and nephews. Cha was predeceased by his parents and his brother: Edward (Ted) Becker;
At Cha's request, there will be no formal services, but for those who knew him best to remember him as he always was.
