IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard P.
Mcinerney
July 21, 1934 – March 11, 2023
Richard P. McInerney, of Grove Street, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
Richard was born 88 years ago on July 21, 1934 in Brooklyn to Elizabeth (Macksen) and Carl J. McInerney. After completing High School, Richard proudly served in the United States Marines from 1952- 1954.
After retiring from the plumbing trade, he moved to the tranquility of Middleburgh in the mid-1980s. He loved his animals and nothing more than long walks in the serenity of nature and looking out his picture window over the valley and Vroman's Nose. Though quiet and reserved, his willingness to help shone, just like his smile.
Loving him forever are his daughter: Susan Garopolo of Jacksonville, FL; sons: Richard C. (Maureen) McInerney of Dunlap, TN and Robert (Lisa) McInerney of Patchogue, NY; grandchildren: Robert, Daniel, Thomas, Alison and Amy; dear friends: Kevin and Mary, Ron and Kim, Jeff and Karen. Richard was predeceased by his longtime companion: Arlene Moser.
A prayer service will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Coltrain Funeral Home, 134 River Street, Middleburgh, NY with Father Thomas Zelker officiating. Visitation with Richard's family will be from 12-1:00PM, prior to the service. Spring interment will be in Breakabeen Cemetery.
Memorial donations in his honor are requested to the Schoharie Valley Animal Shelter, PO Box 40, Howes Cave, NY 12092
