Edgewater, FL– Richard A Bartholomew passed at home on July 2, 2020, under the loving care of his children and Hospice. A resident of Edgewater, FL for almost 50 years, Richard was originally from Middleburgh where he was a cattle dealer and dairy farmer. He was also owner of Richard's Drywall in Edgewater and a volunteer firefighter. His happiest moments were at family gatherings, tending his garden and having oysters at Blackbeard's every Friday.

Richard was the father of 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Family was the most important thing in his life and was preceded in death by his eldest son: Richard (Rick) Bartholomew.

He is survived by his son: Carl (Tom) Bartholomew; daughters: Christy Bartholomew and Sharon Stephenson and his sisters: Joyce (Robert) Roney, Carol Joslyn; his brother: Claude (Fannie) Bartholomew and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach, Fl.

Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC of Middleburgh is honored to be caring for Richard and his family locally and will assist with burial in Breakabeen Cemetery.
