Obituary

Rhonda Ruth Latz died unexpectedly, but peacefully, on Friday, July 3, 2026 in her favorite summer spot, nestled in the tranquility of the Schoharie Valley.

Rhonda was born 71 years ago on September 11, 1954 in Kingston, to Ruth (Neal) and Ronald Charles Latz, Sr., was baptized and attended the Town of Esopus United Methodist Church. She graduated from Kingston High School in 1972 and Spencer Business Institute as a Court Stenographer. She also earned her Associate's Degree from St. Rose and enjoyed taking further study courses required by her employment and her desire for knowledge.

Rhonda was employed by General Electric for 34 years and lastly by the NYS Comptroller in Albany before retiring to enjoy winters with her family and summers in her camping trailer at the KOA in Gilboa.

While living in Schenectady, Rhonda volunteered her time at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center and the last 37 years at Proctor's Theater, when not devouring a good book, tackling word searches or crocheting something beautiful with yarn.

Loving Rhonda forever are her sisters: Mary Ann Wilber and Susan Lee Dolce; her twin brother: Ronald C. "Skip" Latz, Jr. and his wife Alison; and many nieces and nephews. Rhonda was predeceased by both of her parents.

A celebration of Rhonda's life will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the Town of Esopus United Methodist Church, 151 North Main Street, Port Ewen, NY 12466.
