Norma L. Helligas, of Apalachin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

Norma was born 88 years ago in July 28, 1935 in the hamlet of Sangerfield, NY to Ella (Fonda) and Lynn C. Wentworth.

A homemaker, Norma loved raising her family and tending to the day-to-day work around and in keeping her home.  She also loved making crafts, of all kinds.

Norma was predeceased by her parents; her husband: Bertram Helligas; her infant twin-sister Julia and her other sister Judith Bevins.

Loving her forever are her daughter; Alicia Greeno of Apalachin, NY; her sons: Daniel (Jane) Helligas of Fountain Inn, SC, Joseph Helligas of Clinton, SC. and Jeffrey Helligas, of Columbia, SC; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service was held for family in Middleburgh Cemetery, Middleburgh, NY where Norma was laid to rest beside her husband Bertram.  Rev. David Houck officiated.
