Schoharie- Myrtle I. Spencer, 89, of Frisbieville Road, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at her home.

Myrtle was born at home in Schoharie, on March 9, 1928 to Sophia (Loucks) and Olin Lewis.

She worked at the former 5&10 Cent store in Middleburgh and was a secretary at the Schoharie Presbyterian Church.

Quiet and content, Myrtle enjoyed the warmth of her well cared for home, gardening, reading, watching Westerns on television and collecting Marilyn Monroe memorabilia.

She was predeceased by her husband, George Spencer.

Myrtle's family includes her sister: Barbara Andrew of Gallupville; Keith and Claudette Wood, Howard Wood and her loving neighbors, Richard and Heather Vilegi and their children, Juilianna and Ian.

In keeping with Myrtle's wishes, there will be a graveside service next spring, in Breakabeen Cemetery, at a time and date to be announced.
