Mildred Rossmann, of Huntersland Road, found eternal peace in the welcoming arms of her Lord on Saturday, March 28, 2026
Millie was born in Queens on October 29, 1935 to Claudia (Falco) and Richard Walsh. On February 8, 1958, she married John M. Rossmann and together they shared 63 years of love, family, all that life brought to them, including nightly dishes of ice cream before John predeceased her in 2021.
Millie never missed her children's events and thanks God for every moment she could spend with her grandchildren and great-grandsons. Games of any kind were always on the agenda with mom and grandma, as was listening to her recite most nursery rhymes by heart. Her love made her baking taste like Heaven, especially her Christmas cookies. Her heart also went into each loop of yarn she crocheted. All of the holidays had decorations and she loved making her home as festive as she could. She also enjoyed making ceramics and was an avid bowler. She was a member of the Hilltowns Seniors in Berne, the Huntersland Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Middleburgh.
Her gentle, loving spirit will be held forever in the hearts of her son: Kenneth Rossmann and wife, Kelly of Middleburgh; her daughters: Gail Kedoin and husband, Robert of West Windsor, NJ, Ellen Boyle and husband, John of Bay Shore, Janet Rossmann of Centereach; grandchildren: Adam (Celeste) Ciabattari, Scott Ciabattari, Lauren Ciabattari, Holly Rossmann, Lily Rossmann, Ariana Kedoin, Nicole Kedoin, Christopher (Natasha) Boyle, Brandon Boyle; great-grandsons: Asher Boyle and Atlas Boyle; son-in-law: Richard Ciabattari; her brother: Lawrence Walsh; her sisters: Barbara Hindenlang and Carolyn Martin and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Along with her husband John and her parents, Millie was predeceased by her daughter: Lisa Ciabaitari; her sister and brother-in-law: Claudia and Walter Wissert; her brother: Richard Walsh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. All are invited to visit with Millie's family from 5-7:00PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC, 134 River Street, Middleburgh. Interment will be in the Middleburgh cemetery.
