Middleburgh- Mildred Dittmar, 94, of Lawton Hollow Road, died peacefully at home, in the loving care of her family on Saturday, October 14, 2017.
Mildred was born in Esperance on April 6, 1923 to Myrtle (Houghtaling) and George Pierce.
She was a dedicated farmer's wife, working side by side with her husband Andrew in every chore. Her strong work ethic, loving spirit and unshakeable faith made her a formidable woman and role model to her family and friends.
Mildred loved picking strawberries on the farm, visiting with people and was a member of the Huntersland United Methodist Church family as well as the Midleburgh Golden Age Club.
Mildred was predeceased by her husband Andrew Dittmar and her 9 siblings.
Her loving family includes her son: John D. (Lyn) Dittmar of Middleburgh; grandchildren: Kristina E. (Silas) Stark of Dallas, GA and Nicholas (Nicole) Dittmar of Middleburgh and great-grandson: Andrew J. Stark of Dallas, GA; her sister: Harriet Pierce of Bainbridge; her brother: Barrie (Paula) Campbell of Cobleskill; many nieces, nephews and friends.
A quiet woman in many ways, Mildred's family is respecting her wishes for private services and thanks you for remembering her and them in kind thoughts and prayers.
