Michelle Lee Bowman, of Middleburgh, died unexpectedly on Friday May 2, 2025 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, following a 4-month battle with cancer.

Michelle was born 52 years ago on July 3, 1972, in Schenectady to Joan (Cater) Porter and lovingly adopted by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary (Cater) and Gerald Bowman. Michelle attended schools in Middleburgh, Schoharie and Georgia while growing up.

Michelle was a Walmart associate for 10 years, most recently in the Deli. Michelle was always known to have her arms wide open to everyone. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, making doll houses, dollhouse furniture and was of Lutheran faith.

Michelle's family includes her companion and soulmate: John Ford; her son: Joseph Mccorkle; her step-children: Joseph Zeno, Breanna Duffy, Olivia VanDyke; her mother: Joan Porter and her adoptive parents: Mary and Gerald Bowman and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Main Street, Middleburgh, NY.  All are invited to visit with Michelle's family from 10:00AM-11:00AM prior to the service.
