Mary Rowlison, of Middleburgh, found eternal peace on Friday, June 19, 2026 at home, in the loving care of her family.

Mary was born on December 12th, to Charlotte (Kelley) and Roy Borst of Schoharie. The same love that comes each December came with Mary that day in December, and she shared that love, warmth and tenderness, not only with her own family, but also as a Nanny to countless generations of children and families in Middleburgh through the years.

A talented seamstress, she also worked at Cobel Sportswear in Cobleskill, the Bag Factory and Vic's Tavern in Middleburgh, where she met Charles Rowlison, the guy who stole her heart.

She loved her flower gardens and was a proud, exuberant fan of the NY Yankees for over 60 years!

Mary is survived by her daughters: Cherie Rowlison and Mitzi (Jerry, Sr.) Beretz; her son: Dean (Ben) Rowlison; her grandchildren: Ashley Garner, Jerry (Tiffany) Beretz, Jr., Joshua Beretz and Zymier McCottry; her great-grandchildren: Jinger and Jerry Beretz, III; many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents, her husband Charles Rowlison, recently by her son Joel Rowlison and her siblings: "Junior," Clarence and "Billy" Borst and Virginia Liddle.

A celebration of Mary's life, along with her son Joel's, is planned from 2:00-6:00PM on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the Timothy Murphy Park pavilion, 4260 Route 30, Middleburgh.
