Marie Czyszczon, of Grove Street, found eternal peace on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

She was born on June 26, 1946 at home, on Railroad Avenue in Middleburgh to Helen (Daniels) and John Puchala, Sr.  Marie graduated from Middleburgh Central School and worked for over twenty years as a Tax Clerk with the Schoharie County Treasurer before retiring.

Articulate in every detail and feisty, Marie loved life and sharing it with her family and friends.  Often seen walking around the village, Marie enjoyed visiting with neighbors and being outdoors, especially in her gardens.  Once said in jest, with an air of truth, that if she planted one more garden, her son wouldn't have to mow any more grass!  She also enjoyed a sharp mind, answering trivia questions from Jeopardy and other programs.  And all of this while filling the role of mom first and best friend to her sons and family.

Loving Marie forever are her sons: Robert M. Czyszczon and Mark S. Czyszczon; her grandchildren: Mark R. (Katie) Czyszczon, Skyler Czyszczon and Stephen Czyszczon; her great-grandson: Joseph Daniel Czyszczon; her brother: John (Janis) Puchala; her nieces: Tammi (Matthew) Cammer and Traci Puchala; her great-nephews: Troy Cammer and Travis Wissert.  Marie was predeceased by her husband: Robert T. Czyszczon, her daughter-in-law: Tina Czyszczon, her niece: Terri Puchala, her parents and her parents-in-law: Stella and Thadeus Czyszczon

While no formal services are being held at Marie's request, her family thanks you for remembering her and them through this time and request memorial donations in her honor be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which Marie also faithfully supported for many years.
