Lyndorph L. "Spike" Reed, of Middleburgh, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2025.

Spike was born 77 years ago on July 6, 1947 in Albany to Arlene (S. Rivenburg) and Lyndorph L. Reed, Sr.

After graduating from Middleburgh Central school in 1965, he served in the United States Navy from 1966-1970.  A master mechanic, Spike owned R & R Motors in West Middleburgh for many years and enjoyed modified racing at Fonda speedway in his car, # 4X.

Spike was predeceased by his parents and his sister: Linda Arlene Reed.

He is survived by his cousin: Phyllis Fitzgerald of Berne and his long-time best friend: John Shaul of Fultonham.  Spike's family also extends their thanks to Brooke Hoffman at Cobleskill Reg. Hospital for her kindness.

A private inurnment will be in the Rensselaerville Cemetery.
