Laurie A.
Bartholomew
February 26, 1963 – May 31, 2026
Laurie A. Bartholomew, 63, of Middleburgh, New York passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
Born Laurie A. Jamieson on February 26, 1963, in Schenectady, New York, Laurie lived a life centered around family, kindness, and hard work. She was known for her strength, her love for her family, and her unrelenting drive to beat the odds and face every obstacle with resilience and grace.
Laurie devoted her career to helping others, with her longest tenure spent in secretarial roles for New York State. She enjoyed traveling the countryside and finding new sights to see. She loved watching the Yankees, except when they were losing, and found peace tending to her plants and gardening at home. More than anything, Laurie took pride in going with her husband to cheer on her son and grandson in their sports.
Nothing mattered more to Laurie than doing everything in her power to give the children in her family a better life. Her love, strength, and devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Laurie is survived by her husband: Claude Bartholomew, Jr.; her son: Richard Martino III; her step-grandson: Guillerimo Martinez; her mother and father-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. Claude Bartholomew, Sr.; her step-children: Nicole Bartholomew, Corey Bartholomew, and Claude Bartholomew III and eight additional step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father: Robert Jamieson and her aunt: Kathryn Jamieson.
In keeping with Laurie's wishes, no formal services are planned and her family thanks you for remembering her and them through this time.
Laurie's family requests donations in her memory be made to the MCS Sports Booster Club, PO Box 259, Middleburgh, NY 12122
