Joyce M. Edwards died peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Cobleskill Regional hospital.

Joyce was born 80 years ago on February 8, 1941 in Nyack, NY to Josephine (Kovar) and Wesley Hardy Sr.

There was no gray area where Joyce was concerned, it was black or white and she didn't mind telling you.  Yet, to her family, friends and co-workers at Middleburgh Elementary School, where she was an aide for many years, Joyce's sassy, out-spoken demeanor protected a very loving and giving heart.

She loved reading James Patterson books, traveling and tending the beautiful flowers in her gardens.  And the best moments of her days were spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that ensured her beautiful smile.

Joyce will be loved forever by her three children: Robin (Mahlon) Houston of West Fulton, Stacey (Robert) Bendig of Wurtsboro and Chuck Edwards, Jr. of Unionville; her 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her husband: Charles "Bob" Edwards, Sr., her daughter-in-law: Diane Edwards and her 2 siblings.

As Joyce requested no formal services, her family thanks you for remembering Joyce and them through this time.
