Josie Cleveland, of Grove Street, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2025 after a decline in health.

Born 80 years ago on June 19, 1945 to Earl Cleveland and Lydia Miller Cleveland, she was the oldest of 6 children.  Josie was known for her vivacious personality and her ability to light up a room with her presence. She loved a good card game when visiting with her sister and family and never said no to a stuffed animal that needed a loving home.

In 2007, after the death of her beloved partner Jim, she went to live at the ARC where she was blessed with her second family to love and cherish her and became employed at Toe Path Industries, where she proudly worked for many years. She will be forever loved and missed by her family, both biological and from the Lexington ARC.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC 134 River Street, Middleburgh, NY 12122 with burial following in Breakabeen Cemetery.
