Josephine Cossu, of Rose Street, passed away suddenly in her home on Monday, January 3, 2022.

Josephine was born in Brooklyn, on March 7, 1940 to Michelina (Pittelli) and Vincenzo Desiderio.  In 1965, Josephine married Dominico Cossu, who predeceased her in 2016.  A homemaker for much of her life, Josephine loved time spent with her family most.

Loving her forever are her daughter: Josette Goodfellow (David Mellor); sons: Louis (Lori) Cossu and Frank (Christina) Cossu; her 7 grandchildren: Elizabeth Perkins, Timothy Cossu, Christina Goodfellow, Renee Laraway, Marissa Hoyt, Brittney Rogers and Nicholas Cossu; and her 5 great-grandchildren.

All are invited to a visitation and celebration of Josephine's life from 2PM to 5PM on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Berne Fire Dept., 30 Canady Hill Road, Berne, NY 12023.  A private graveside service for her family will be held in Middleburgh Cemetery.
