Holly Hill, FL - Janet Elizabeth Russell, 81, went home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on August 24, 2018 after a long illness.

Born in Hobart, NY on September 29, 1936 to Howard and Jennie (Swart) Denison, Janet was the oldest of their four children.

Janet loved coming back to the hills where she was born, Mount Utsayantha being one of her favorite places. Her pastimes and passions included reading, sewing, oil painting, coin collecting, nature, children, doll collecting, her many kitties and Jesus. She had been employed by Greendell Packing Corp., Prattsville, NY, Philadelphia Sales, Endicott, NY, Gold and Silver Card Shop, Daytona Beach,FL and as a teacher's aide at Holly Hill Elementary School.

She was predeceased by her parents, and sisters, Katherine and Patricia.

Janet is survived by her loving and wonderful husband: William (Bill) Russell of Holly Hill, FL; her three children: Daniel (Lila) Mudge of Grand Gorge, NY, JoAnn (Bill) Hanson of Gilboa, NY and Jennifer (Yusuf) Abdullah of Palm Coast, FL; her youngest sister Frances Louise McBlain of New Berlin, NY; her 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, many friends and her family at Daytona Christian Church.

While the family will hold services privately at a later date, they thank you for remembering Janet and them in thoughts and prayers.
