Middleburgh - Janet Turner Cooke passed away on May 22, 2019 at her son's home.

She was born in Schenectady on April 12, 1941 to Craig and Mary Turner, of Middleburgh.  Janet graduated from Middleburgh Central School in 1959 and earned her Associate's Degree from Columbia-Greene CC.

Janet was as a Rural Letter Carrier, for 31 years, serving Cornwallville and East Durham.  She was first and foremost a devoted mother to her two sons and an avid gardener and reader.

Janet will be treasured forever in the hearts of her sister: Helen Maxwell of Middleburgh, her sons: Mark (Adrienne) Cooke of Reno, NV and Randall (Sarah) Cooke of Fayetteville, NY; three grandchildren: Jonathan, Mary Lynn and Alida Cooke; two nieces and a nephew.

All are invited to visit with Janet's family from 3:00PM – 4:30PM on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC. 134 River Street, Middleburgh. A graveside service, in Middleburgh Cemetery, will immediately follow the visitation on Saturday afternoon.
