Harvey J. Reinhart, of East Hill Road, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.

He was born 77 years ago on October 1, 1947 at home, on the family farm to Ruth (Barber) and Jay Reinhart and graduated from Middleburgh Central School.  Harvey continued his education, earning a Bachelor's degree from SUNY New Paltz in 1969 and a Master's degree from SUNY Albany in 1972 and began his teaching career at Schoharie Central School in 1969.  Harvey retired from teaching Sixth grade in 2005, after 36 years.  He served on the Schoharie Central School Teacher's Association, the Cornell Cooperative Extension Board, was a member of Kappa Delta Pi and was honored in the 1996 "Who's Who Among America's Teachers."

Harvey helped work the family farm throughout his lifetime and enjoyed bowling and golfing in his leisure.

His brother Charles Reinhart survives him along with close friends Audrey and Ronald Wood and family.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Coltrain Funeral Home. LLC 134 River Street, Middleburgh, NY 12122 with a visitation from 10:00–11:00AM before the service. Burial will be in the Middleburgh Cemetery.
