Georgette Jean Nelson, of Summerville, South Carolina and formerly of Fultonham, passed away at MUSC Hospital of complicated heart conditions on March 20, 2025 leaving a void her family cannot fill.

Jet was born 72 years ago in Schenectady, NY on November 26, 1952 to George and Jacqulyn Liddle.  She attended Middleburgh Central School and was very proud to go back and complete her education, and graduate with the Class of 1975.

Jet was the beloved mother of five children and a foster parent for most of her life with her friend and former husband Ernest Nelson.  She opened her heart and her home to love more than 250 children in Schoharie County over 25 years.

Loving Jet forever are her sisters: Dorothy Jouben and Cindy Nelson; her children: Glen (Katrina) Nelson, Angela (Matthew) Berry, William (Jennifer) Hahn, William Nelson and Patricia (Howie) Mochrie; her grandchildren: Randy Nelson, Christopher Lawton, Brian (Courtney) Nelson, Brittany (Jeff) Karabin, Evelyn (Paul) Van Schaick, Shane Berry, Sefth Berry, Andrew Hahn, Peyton Hahn; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

All are invited to a Celebration of Jet's life at 2:00PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Fultonham Union Church, Route 30, Fultonham, NY.  Inurnment will be private in Breakabeen Cemetery.
