Middleburgh - Felix Maguire, formerly of High Pine Meadows, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Palatine Nursing Home in Palatine Bridge, where he had been receiving care for the last few years.

Felix was born 96 years ago in Ireland and was the youngest of 12 siblings.  He came to Upstate New York in his late teens and worked in Buffalo and then moved to New York City.  Felix loved acting and was a member of the Screen Actors Guild, however, his main job was an office manager at a major corporation there.

Upon retirement, Felix bought his home in Middleburgh, where he cultivated his passion for beekeeping and gardening on his 5 acres of land.  He loved peace and quiet, but also enjoyed meeting people and frequenting his favorite diner, M&J's.  He was known for his love of blueberry pie, his quick wit, kind spirit and was a true gentleman in all respects.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and attended Our Lady of the Valley Church in Middleburgh.

Cherishing his memory forever are his niece: Lynn and her husband Steve of Farmington Hills, MI; his great-niece, Erin Elizabeth of NC and friends.

A memorial mass will be held for Felix as soon as the Covid-19 precautions have been lifted.
