Ernest J. Fancher, Sr. of Nine Mile Tree Road, Gloversville, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in the care of his family and Hospice.

Ernest was born 75 years ago on October 28, 1947 in Duanesburg, to Elizabeth M. (Strong) and Percy J. Fancher.  He worked for General Electric as a machinist for many years and loved classic cars, tinkering in his garage and hunting treasures at local flea markets.

Loving him forever is his wife, best friend and soulmate, Mary Jane (Skowfoe) Fancher of Gloversville, whom he married on September 14, 1968; his daughter: Judy Fancher of Greenacres, FL; grandchildren, nieces and nephews; his brother-in-law: Philip Skowfoe, Jr. and all of his family.  Ernest was predeceased by his son: Ernest J. Fancher, Jr., siblings: Clinton, Evelyn and Barbara; siblings-in-law: Pauline, Robert, Thelma, Ronald and Frances.

A graveside committal service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 11:00AM in Breakabeen Cemetery.
