Middleburgh – Duane W. Kennedy, of Gates Hill Road, died suddenly and peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2020.

Duane was born in Schenectady on March 13, 1953 to his mother Loretta (Engle), affectionately known as "Mrs.K" and his father, William J. Kennedy.  Duane graduated from Middleburgh Central School and for several years owned his own business, building custom homes.  He loved smoking meats, making homemade sausage, wine and being outdoors hunting, fishing and canoeing.  Nothing brought him more joy though, than the company of his grandsons, his family and his friends.

Besides his parents, Duane was predeceased by his wife Candy and his brother Roger.

Cherishing his memory forever are his daughters: Melissa Diaz (Jeff Sanders) of Sharon Springs and Heather (Walter Brockway) Kennedy of Rotterdam; his grandsons: Laine Pleickhardt and Tristin Diaz; his sister: Patty (Mark) Wainwright; his nieces and nieces and nephews: Angela Lawyer, Courtney Wainwright, Daniel Kennedy, Ian Kennedy and their children: Alyssa, Benjamin and Brooke; his cousins: Carol and Mark Traver and Richard and Pam Pulver.

At Duane's request, there will be no formal service but his family thanks you for remembering him and them through this time.
