Donald Erwin Lockwood, of Lorraine Drive, found eternal peace on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

He was born 70 years ago on November 9, 1955 in Margaretville, to Charlotte (Christian) and James E. Lockwood. He retired from ERSI in Rotterdam after many years of employment. He enjoyed his time here on Earth to the fullest.

Whether traveling to favorite destinations, including Maine or hunting the perfect antique sign, bottle or treasure at the flea market, his heart was filled with happiness. It shone most though with pride, working on his classic Chevy pickup and when he was among his grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and the serenity of nature around him.

Donald's family includes his wife: Sonia A. Lockwood, whom he married on November 1, 2003; his siblings: Jimmy (Georgianne), "Little" Jimmy and Garrett; his children: Brandon, Amber, AmandaRose, John, Sonia (Rene) and James (Kayla); grandchildren: Braedyn, Aspen, Lola, Aidan, Gia, Claudia (David), Carson, Alana, Selena, Zac, Max and Bailey; his great-grandchildren: David, Elijah and Victoria; many nieces, nephews, and friends

A Celebration of Donald's Life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
