Claire Evans, 65, of Cobleskill, NY, passed away on April 29, 2025 at home, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Claire was born August 18, 1959, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to Edward and Theresa (Deutsch) Jandrositz of Nazareth, PA and Cobleskill, NY. Claire graduated from Cobleskill High School Class of 1977, SUNY Cobleskill 1979, and later The Pennsylvania State University in 1985.

Following her graduation from SUNY Cobleskill, Claire worked in the floral industry as a retail floral designer and as a wholesale florist supply buyer. Later in life, Claire's talents lead her to work as an elementary school teaching assistant until her retirement. Claire was also active in Girl Scouts and enjoyed her time as a Girl Scout Leader for more than ten years.

Claire's survivors include her husband: Brian R. Evans, whom she married on October 12, 1986, and her greatest sense of pride, her children: Kacie (Richard) Jenkins, of Hudson Falls, NY and Cathryn (Jacob) Simpson, of El Paso, TX; and her five grandchildren.  Claire's surviving family also includes her sisters: Stephanie (Robert) Tinker of Middleburgh, NY, Ruth (Dennis) O'Connor of Nazareth, PA, and Lori (Eric) Forsman, of Orlando, FL; and four nieces and nephews and their spouses and children. Claire is also survived by her father-in-law: Robert H. (the late Eileen) Evans, of Ormond Beach, FL; brother-in-law: Michael (Kristin) Evans, of Deland, FL; and sister-in-law: Tracy Evans, of Canajoharie, NY, along with four nieces and nephews.
