Christine Keyser Robarge, 99, formerly of Newark, NY, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Our Lady of Mercy in Guilderland.
Christine was born in Middleburgh, on October 16, 1918 to Christina (Tanner) and George Keyser, raised in East Cobleskill and was a member of the first class in the former Golding School. She went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from Hartwick College.
Christine started her teaching career in Cooperstown, later moving to Newark, NY where she taught 7th grade Social Studies until retiring.
She loved to travel, take bus trips, enjoyed playing Bridge, bowling and was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Christine was also an active member of Park Presbyterian Church.
While in Cooperstown, Christine met and Married her late husband, Kenneth Robarge on July 1, 1945. He predeceased her in 1985. She was also predeceased by her sisters: Jeanette MacDonald, Marjorie Wilsey and brothers: Donald Keyser and Willis Keyser.
Christine is survived by many nieces and nephews locally and friends in Newark.
A funeral service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Coltrain Funeral Home LLC, 134 River Street, Middleburgh. All are invited to a visitation with her family from 1-2PM, prior to the service. Spring interment will be held in the Breakabeen Cemetery.
